The Bogey Beater™
The practice putter built to the exact size of the hole — because once you see the target in your hands, you never look at a putt the same way again.

01 — The Problem
You can push it, pull it, catch it off the toe — and it still goes somewhere close. Close enough that you walk away thinking the stroke was fine.
It wasn't fine. And deep down, you know it.
The truth is that putting is lost and won in degrees. A face angle one degree open at impact sends the ball 17 inches wide of the cup from 20 feet. You can't feel that with a conventional putter. You can't see it either. So you keep guessing, keep missing, and keep blaming the green.
There's a better way.
02 — The Tool
A round putter head. The exact same size as the hole.
That's not a design quirk — that's (part of) the whole lesson. Every time you practice with the Bogey Beater, you're holding the target in your hands. Your brain starts to understand what 4.25 inches actually looks like from 6 feet, 10 feet, 20 feet. The hole stops looking small. The putt stops looking scary.
And because the head is perfectly round, the only way to roll the ball straight is to strike it dead square, dead center. Hit it open — the ball goes right. Hit it off the toe — the ball goes nowhere useful. The Bogey Beater doesn't sugarcoat your stroke. It tells you exactly what happened, every single time.
Head Ø 4.25 in = Hole Ø 4.25 in
That's resistance training for your putting game. Make it harder in practice so the real thing feels easy on the course.
In Action
Roll it square and it goes straight. Roll it off-center or with a hint of open face and the ball tells you immediately.

05 — How It Works
That 4.25-inch disc is exactly the size of the cup. Your brain maps the relationship between the ball, the head, and the hole at every distance. Target visualization that no conventional putter can teach.
Roll it square and it goes straight. Roll it off-center or with a hint of open face and the ball tells you immediately. No instructor required. No video analysis. Just the ball, the disc, and the truth.
After a few hundred honest reps, square contact stops being something you think about and becomes something your hands simply do. That's the muscle memory the Bogey Beater is building — one putt at a time.
06 — Who It's For
who keeps three-putting holes they should be making in two — and knows it's costing them five strokes a round.
who has worked on every part of their game except the part that matters most inside 10 feet.
who wants honest feedback without the bending, kneeling, and groaning that comes with 100 practice balls on the putting green.
looking for a training aid that gives students immediate, undeniable feedback without a word of explanation.
who wants something genuinely useful for the golfer who already has everything — and not another novelty that ends up in the garage.
07 — The Story

My father sold wholesale sporting goods back in the 1970s. One of the things he brought home was a cheap plastic sample putter — D shape with a square face, mallet-style, about the size of the cup. I will never forget it.
Decades later I started playing more golf and that putter came back to me. What if the head was completely round on purpose? What if it was exactly the size of the hole? Would it teach you to hit it square?
The answer, as it turns out, is yes. Emphatically yes.
Every putt is straight. The break, the grain, the slope — those come after. But the stroke itself, the face at impact, the contact point — those are square or they're not. The Bogey Beater makes sure you know which one you're delivering.
That's the whole idea. Simple as a circle. Honest as the hole.
From the green
“Great tool.”
“Crazy how it works.”
“Wow — I thought it was a gimmick until I began using it.”
